QA/QC & Production Calculators

Fast calculation tools for welding quality, NDT sampling, hydrotest planning, calibration dates, manpower productivity and fabrication output. Built for preliminary planning and reporting—not as a substitute for approved procedures or project specifications.

Quality control

QA/QC calculations

NDT Sampling Quantity

Rounds upward to a whole joint. Apply the project specification for selection/distribution of joints and any additional examination rules.

Weld Repair / Rejection Rate

Use a consistent project definition when trending repair or rejection rates.

Hydrotest Reference Pressure

Do not assume 1.5 is correct for every system. Enter only the multiplier required by the applicable code/project test procedure and account for elevation, component ratings and temperature where required.

Calibration / Inspection Due Date

Actual calibration validity is governed by your QMS, manufacturer requirements and project/client rules.

Production

Productivity & fabrication calculations

Man-Hours & Productivity

Welding Inch-Dia

Inch-dia is a production/estimating convention. Define the project measurement rule consistently, especially for branches, fittings and non-circumferential welds.

Fabrication Output vs Target

Resource Requirement

Use demonstrated site productivity where available; actual crew composition, access, permits, logistics and supervision can materially change output.

Use results with project controls

QA/QC and production numbers become more useful when they are trended: weld rejection rate by welder/process, planned versus actual output by period, man-hours per unit and remaining-resource forecasts. Consistent definitions matter more than a single isolated result.
