1xxx Series Aluminum
1xxx alloys are commercially pure aluminum grades valued for corrosion resistance, electrical/thermal conductivity and formability.
Material basis
Typical purity is 99% aluminum or higher, with controlled iron and silicon impurities. Strength is relatively low unless strain hardened.
Applications
Electrical conductors, chemical equipment, reflectors, foil, heat exchangers and general sheet applications.
Common grades / designations
Common alloys include 1050, 1060, 1070, 1100 and 1350.

Selection and procurement checks
Confirm alloy, temper, product form, dimensions, applicable ASTM/EN/ISO/AA specification, mechanical properties, corrosion environment, joining route and mill certification before approval.
Element Folio engineering reference. Verify the latest governing specification and manufacturer data for final design or procurement.
